This page explains how Gathermate ("we") handles information. If this English version and the Japanese version differ, the Japanese version applies.
What we store
There are no accounts, and we never ask for an email address or phone number. We only store what you type:
Date & place polls: the event name, note, date and place options, each person's name (a nickname is fine), answers and comments
Bill splits: the name, total, currency, groups, people's names, amounts, payment note and who has paid
Please don't put information that identifies someone into names or comments.
To improve the service we also record when pages are created, answered, decided or marked as paid, together with counts such as the number of options or people. These records don't contain names, comments or anything else you type, and they can't be used to find a page's link.
Who can see a page
Anyone with the link to a page can view it and answer. Links are hard to guess, but please be careful who you share them with. Anyone with the organizer link can edit and decide. Pages you create are hidden from search engines.
Where data is kept
Data is stored with Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Workers and D1). We will set a retention period in the future. Until then, data is kept until you ask us to delete it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics from Google LLC to understand how the site is used. It uses cookies to collect information such as the pages viewed, the tools used and the type of device and browser. It doesn't identify you. We never send Google the names or comments you type, the IDs of pages you create or organizer links.
We may show ads from third-party services such as Google AdSense. Ad providers may use cookies to show ads based on your interests. You can turn this off in Google's ad settings. See how Google uses information in ads for details.
Deleting data and contact
To delete a page or an answer, email the page's link to contact@gathermate.app. People can also delete their own answer by tapping their name in the table.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version on this page.
